Spirit Day
The Weekly Themed Day of Fun
Every Friday is Spirit Day, a uniquely themed adventure with a morning of classical camp fun and an afternoon of unparalleled excitement centered around a specific theme that changes each week.
Whether it’s Pirate Day, Alien Day, or Israel Day, campers are always in for a different kind of quest— costume contests, spirit-oriented activities, and empowering projects. From original songs and dances, to camper-created comedy routines, plays, and more, every child enjoys the opportunity to be a part of a themed presentation at the end of every Spirit Day.
Weekly Oneg Shabbat
For every age group in camp, every week ends with a campwide oneg shabbat, where explorers, adventurers, and voyagers of all Quests come together as a collective in one place. Together, the whole camp community experiences the celebration of another week of adventure, enjoys the culmination of Spirit Day, and embraces our Jewish heritage with a candle lighting ceremony!
Got Spirit?
A Day as a Traveler
The traveler program can change as quickly as young minds. Each day begins with a new group and a new adventure for these young campers. The schedule is always something different for our travelers, as every day, they have the opportunity to choose a new Quest to experience during Quest time!
A Day as an Adventurer
As children grow older, they form a greater need to foster friendships and be a part of a community. For this reason, our travelers are given a greater chance to create deeper bonds along with their choice of adventure. Unlike younger campers, these campers enjoy more time with the same group! Each week these campers choose whether they’ll remain in their cohort or experience a new weekly Quest!
A Day as a Voyager
Our oldest campers choose different age-appropriate activities from every Quest whenever they are on the campgrounds so that they can get the most out of camp! Their daily schedule varies greatly as they’re often off on some great off-site adventure! They may be visiting Club Getaway, Niagara Falls, Cleveland, or Boston, but when they return, they’re always given the opportunity to hone their skills in whichever way they choose.
Daily Activities
Beyond up to 1.5 hours worth of time in their chosen Quest, each day, campers of all ages enjoy camper’s choice periods or electives (in which they can experience other Quests) as well as the traditional activities every camp offers, such as swim and team sports.
For their Quest and Camper’s Choice periods:
- If they choose to Seek, they can scale the rock climbing call, create a delicacy over a campfire, or take a trip they’ll never forget to the adventure park.
- If they choose to Compete, they can bring their soccer game to the next level, practice their 3-pointers with our basketball specialists, or try lacrosse for the first time!
- If they choose to Innovate, they could launch a rocket, learn coding, or perfect their culinary arts.
No matter which choice they make, they enjoy an unmatched level of freedom and adventures like nowhere else and uncover new passions along the way.
Their experiences speak for themselves
